For many years nurses have played a large part in the armed forces in Canada and abroad.

At our recent General Meeting, Al presented Mariliyn with a Certificate of Appreciation for her hard work on the Ways & Means Committee. Al also thanked the Ladies Auxiliary for all they do for the Branch and our community.

Volunteer Spotlight – Roger Welch

Roger became a member of the Maple Ridge Legion 11 years ago and he didn’t know at the time how it would change his life. He was familiar with the Legion as his father served in World War 1 including the battle of Mons.

New Life Lease Application Forms

We've updated the Life Lease Application Forms for our two property developments, Legion Manor and Legion Gardens.

There are two separate forms. One for Veterans, one for non-Veterans. In both cases, applicants must be members of our Branch, 88.

We will be closed on September 30th to honour and remember our National Day of Truth & Reconciliation.

Live Music at the Legion

The hugely popular Coyote Creek Band will be playing our Legion this Friday and Saturday, September 27th and 28th

This Sunday, September 29th, come and support our Ladies Auxiliary as they host the Branch kitchen. From 12pm until 5pm (or until sold out), you can dine on Cabbage Rolls & Perogies

Honouring a Veteran

Ray Lloyd, born in 1924 was 99 years old when he passed on. In 1942 at the age of 18, Ray enlisted in the RCAF. He became a Flight Engineer and flew some 31 sorties over occupied Europe in Halifax bombers.

Veterans Dinner September 18th 2024 – Update

On 18th September Branch 88 will be hosting our annual dinner to honour Veterans.

GENERAL MEETINGS ARE USUALLY ON THE THIRD SUNDAY OF EVERY MONTH AT 11:00am.
General Meetings are usually on the 3rd Sunday of every month. There are no meetings held in July or August. We encourage all Legion members to attend General Meetings.

NOTE: The date of the next General Meeting is 23 March 2025
